How it works
- Your text is sent to a small, fast language model (OpenAI via Vercel AI Gateway) with strict instructions: find the numbers, don’t invent any, choose one chart type and return the data as a table.
- The chart is drawn by the same deterministic renderer as every other ChartCraft tool, so what you see matches the extracted table exactly.
- “Edit & download” opens the matching chart maker with the data loaded, so you can fix labels, change type and export.
If your text holds several unrelated sets of numbers, the AI picks the most important one. Paste just the part you want charted for more control.

What can I paste?
Anything with numbers in it: a paragraph from a report, survey notes, an email with sales figures, a messy copy-paste from a PDF or web page. Up to 6,000 characters.
Will the AI make up numbers?
It is instructed to use only numbers found in your text, but AI can make mistakes. Always check the extracted data in the editor before you use the chart.
Where does my text go?
When you click Generate, the text is sent through Vercel AI Gateway to an OpenAI model to extract the data, and is not stored by ChartCraft. The normal chart makers never send your data anywhere.
Is it free?
Yes, with a fair-use limit of a few requests every ten minutes per visitor.
